What I would love to see in v4 is some sort of broker bar such as Chocolate Bar, Bazooka et al as I rely on these to keep an eye on which friends / guildies are logged in, how much gold I have, dmg, fps, location etc.
Also I can barely live without Carbonite anymore, the poster who says it's not popular enough should check out its wowinterface forum pages, the amount of furore each time a wow patch is released and it stops working for a bit is quite honestly staggering to see. And from experience it doesn't use that much memory.
I'm only just now about to install LUI for the first time in 6 months so forgive me if any of the above is already in place.
LUI isnt a set-in-stone UI like alot of other interfaces. You want Carbonite? Get Carbonite. Its compatible. LUI does have a broker bar containing Gold info, Friends, Guildies, DPS, fps, latency. For the location, use the minimap.
I believe there was also quite a nice post which showed carbonite anchored to the grid frame? or some form of quest addon. Looked quite nice :). And yeh - big monitors are awesome... double big monitors is better!
"Yey I fixed it!" ... *computer crashes*
if you would like i can post a screen shot of carbonite put into the frames and explain how to do it and give the anchors. i have this setup on my alts. and big monitors are nice and 2 isnt enough my goal is for 3 monitors on their side and attached in a kinda circle shape :)
Every woman sould have a Trufreak in their life
Sorry for resurrecting a very old thread but I have a question/query regarding using Carbonite with LUI. Has anyone noticed crashes when logging into characters sometimes? Trying to work out whether that's just a Carbonite problem or a compatibility issue between the two. Also, if anyone CAN offer information/advice on a good place to anchor the Carbonite minimap I'd really appreciate it. I found it to become a confusing mess when both maps are combined and the button bar is a little buggy and/or gets in the way.
